RI Lifeline Free Cell Phone ServiceBudget Mobile is seeking to relinquish its authority as an eligible telecommunication carrier (ETC) for Lifeline wireless service in Rhode Island and will no longer be providing wireless Lifeline service. In order to keep your Lifeline wireless service you will be required to transfer your service to another wireless telephone service with another local provider. If you do not transfer your existing Lifeline wireless service by 06/05/2017 from Budget to another local Lifeline wireless provider, you will lose service.
In an effort to help with this transition of service, you may access the State of Rhode Island Public Utilities Commission website or the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) website to see a list of local telephone service providers in your area.
